It's a whole-of-industry strategy aimed at balancing the carbon sequestration efforts with livestock emissions across the entire agricultural sector. So, it doesn't mean that any one farm has to be carbon neutral. The first impact farmers are likely to face is the 2030 supply chain targets, where their supply chain will demand lower emissions. National policy changes may also come into play but remain incentive-based in Australia, unlike New Zealand," Richard explained.
