Annabelle Hickson hails from Sydney’s leafy North Shore. Straight out of uni she landed her dream job as a journalist in the city and it seemed like she had things pretty well worked out. That was, until she met ‘the farmer’.
Annabelle was working for the Australian in both Sydney and Brisbane, yet the love story saw her deciding to head to Moree to continue the adventure.
With her vast skillset and personality, Annabelle thought she would be welcomed at the Moree Champion with open arms, however it was this rejection that led to her creating opportunities for herself.
Annabelle began writing blogs, which then led to her writing a best selling book titled ‘A Tree in the House’ and since 2020, she’s been sharing the incredible stories from rural Australia via her self-published print publication, Galah Press.
